Here are this weeks DT tips and sketch creations!

Tip - Use your heat gun to seal the end of ribbon to stop it fraying on your card.

Heike
Tip - To remove glitter that has become stuck to your rubber stamps, use a piece of cellophane tape.

Tip - When using Distress inks and cut & dry foam build up colour gradually to avoid heavy splotches.

Tip- When making a card from a sketch, don't be afraid to "interpret" the sketch.  Instead of a matted square and rectangle, I went with a matted rectangle and a matted banner.  It still follows the general sketch format and fits the image/sentiment.

Tip - When using a sketch as your inspiration, anything is possible, as long as all the required elements are present; no matter where you place them.

used Karen's doodles sketch and Dragon Valentine
Tip: Whenever making card for your loved one, you can make use of decorated needles and/or charms.

Tip -Try to stick to no more than three major colors
If the main image is less than 1/2 the size of the card, it can compliment it with a sentiment nearly the same size

Tip - When using a sketch, if part of your card looks 'empty' add some of those 1000's of Peel-off Borders you have and you'll be amazed how they can 'fill' the space without taking away from the sketch.

Tip - When trimming a strip of border punched paper, you can save the straight remnant piece to glue behind your mat layer for extra depth. Enlarge my card to see what I mean...

Tip - Enhance design papers by adding glitter glue to areas to add sparkle and highlights.

Tip - Create little wire spirals using the stalks of your flowers, by wrapping them around a dry embossing tool, and then gently stretching them once removed.

Tip - Add a range of colors with your stickles to create a shadow in your sparkle!
I used Baby Blue and Star Dust on the wings:)
