Wedding or Anniversary
Hello everyone, its Leanne here! Ooh well didn't I decide to do a tutorial that challenged me! I'm not known for stepping out of my box!!
This week I am going to show you a very easy way to do a Explosion Box. I am never very good with teeny tiny measurements, so my measurements are going to be big chunky ones!!
You will need:
4 pieces of card stock in different colours (I have 2 colours)
Scissors
Double Sided Tape
Cutting Machine
Embellishments of your choice
Your Imagination!!
1. Get 3 pieces of card stock and measure/score at -
1 piece of 12”x12” – score 3” from the sides on all sides
- 1 piece of 11”x11” – score 3¾” from all sides
- 1 piece of 10”x10” – score 3½” from all sides
1 piece of 12”x12” – score 3” from the sides on all sides
- 1 piece of 11”x11” – score 3¾” from all sides
- 1 piece of 10”x10” – score 3½” from all sides
2. Cut the 4 corners out of each of the pieces of card.
3. You can now decorate this as you please, with photos, embellishments - anything at all! Remember though, you don't need to decorate the centre piece of the 2 larger ones. Only on the smallest '+'you need to decorate the centre as this is what is seen when you take the lid off! For the outer '+' I embossed the sides with a cuttlebug folder:
4. To make the lid start with an 8x8 and score at 1 1/8 from all sides. Cut down one side of the little square in the corner then fold and stick the little flat to the inside of the of the lid. Decorate this to look like the rest of your gorgeous box!
5. To finish, sick adhesive tape on the bottom of the two smaller '+' pieces, and then stick them inside each other and voilĂ - your explosion box is complete!
Here is the first one that I have ever made...I was asked to do a card with a bed inside, thought an explosion box was the easiest thing!!
